The pair have battled for most of the year on television though never made it to pay-per-view despite their efforts being amongst the best television matches of the year. Andrade's win capped off a turnaround in fortunes for the former NXT Champion in recent weeks - 'El Idolo' went 50/50 with Humberto Carrillo amidst tensions with business manager Zelina Vega, but all appears smoother for the duo following his brutal December 16th assault on the Raw newcomer and win here.

Elsewhere on the show, R-Truth became a 26-time 24/7 Champion after trading wins with the feckless Singh Brothers.

Truth lost a handicap match to the pair, with Samir taking the pin and the title. He was then immediately rolled up by brother Sunil, only for Truth to do the same to him and yet again leave New York City with the title in tow. Sports Illustrated's Justin Barrasso shared the exchanges on his Twitter account along with other notes from the show.
