With Mustafa Ali having been off WWE TV for several months now, it looks as if Ali’s WWE return will see him be a part of the Raw roster.

Previously, Mustafa had been a SmackDown talent, although he’s been kept off WWE TV for the entirety of 2020 so far.

In a new report from PWInsider, it’s claimed that Ali has now been quietly shifted to the Raw brand ahead of his return to television. Which, if true, throws all kinds of doubt on those who believed Ali was the driving force behind SmackDown’s mysterious hacker.

As far as moves between brands go, the most recent move saw AJ Styles head to SmackDown - where P1 was victorious in the blue brand's tournament to crown a new Intercontinental Champion.

The last time Mustafa Ali was seen on TV was last December, where he teamed with Shorty G in a losing effort against The Revival. Since then, the highly talented 34-year-old wrestled several dark matches at the beginning of the year, but has been kept away from any TV appearances.

By making the call to move Mustafa Ali from SmackDown to Raw, one would hope that that means WWE has some significant plans for Ali.

Regardless of which brand he’s on, let’s just hope Ali is back on our TV screens sooner rather than later.
