Naomi Makes WWE Return At Smackdown House Show
Could a TV comeback be far behind?
WWE Superstar Naomi has returned to the ring on a recent string of Smackdown house shows, meaning that her comeback to the blue brand's TV show may not be far off.
Naomi's first match back in action came on January 14, when she and Nikki Bella defeated Carmella and Natalya in Birmingham, Alabama. Naomi and Bella won subsequent rematches throughout last weekend, and this Saturday and Sunday, Naomi and Becky defeated Carmella and Smackdown Women's Champion Alexa Bliss in back-to-back matches. At Monday's Saginaw, Michigan house show, Naomi, Becky, and Bella all came together to defeat Natalya, Carmella, and Bliss in six-woman tag team action.
Prior to this house show run, Naomi's most recent match was a loss to Bliss on November 22's episode of Main Event. After that, she was sidelined with an ankle injury, though it's unknown whether she was hurt in the match with Bliss or if it happened afterwards.
Coincidentally, her brother-in-law Jey Uso also reported an ankle injury after the November 22 tapings, where The Usos competed in tag team turmoil. The team returned to action just over a month later.
