Natalya Can't Explain Her Absence From WWE's Divas Revolution

"To be honest, I don't know why I'm not included in this. I don't have an answer. I really don't".

Natalya is one of the best women's wrestlers in WWE, yet she's not currently involved in the Divas Revolution. She spoke to the Sam Roberts podcast about it and was candid in her thought: "To be honest, I don't know why I'm not included in this. I don't have an answer. I really don't. And your guess is as good as mine." Ever since WWE started this Divas Revolution in July when they called up Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch to the main roster, the focus has been on the nine women in the three groups: Team Bella (Nikki, Brie and Alicia Fox), Team PCB (Paige, Charlotte & Becky Lynch) and Team B.A.D. (Naomi, Tamina & Sasha Banks). She went on to explain what it's been like to sit on the sidelines: "There was a part of me where I was like, 'I'm going to have a hard time watching all of the girls compete and not being a part of it' and I feel like there is so much of me that is wanting to be a part of it. I just have to trust in the powers that be. I have to trust in the universe. And right now is not my time and I'll just help everybody celebrate their time and be supportive of them because one day it will be my time." She makes a good point because there's not much she can do other than trusting the people that make those decisions. It's up to the creative team to insert her into the storyline when they feel it's the right time and there's not much that her, or any talent, can really do to make it happen. A factor that has been a part of it was the serious injury suffered by her husband Tyson Kidd on June 1. He mentioned he nearly died from the serious neck injury he suffered in a match with Samoa Joe. She did stay home with him after the injury in the early stages, but for the last couple of months she's been on the road and backstage at events taping stuff for Total Divas, yet WWE isn't using her. Even though she's one of the longest tenured divas in WWE (she signed in 2007 and was on the main roster in 2008) as well as one of the best in-ring performers among the divas, Natalya is sitting on the sidelines.
