Netflix Renews GLOW For Fourth And Final Season
Bittersweet news for GLOW fans, as Netflix confirms that the series is coming to an end.
Fans of GLOW will be delighted to hear that Netflix has confirmed a fourth season for the Allison Brie-headlined wrestling comedy drama.
Courtesy of The Wrap, GLOW has been renewed for a fourth and final season that will bring the series to a close. Netflix followed up this breaking news by taking to Twitter to make things official.
This news comes ahead of the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards, where Betty Gilpin has been nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her turn as Debbie Eagan.
Since the show premiered back in 2017, GLOW has received a total of 15 Emmy nominations, seven SAG Award nominations, two Golden Globe nominations, three WGA Award nomination, and two Art Directors Guild Award nominations.
From those nominations, the show has nabbed three Emmy Awards, one SAG Award, and two Art Directors Guild Awards.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, the ‘80s-set GLOW centres on the personal and professional lives of a group of women trying to make their way in the wrestling world. Throughout its three seasons to date, the series has won plenty of plaudits from fans and critics alike, and it’s fantastic news to hear that the Netflix offering will be back for a fourth season – even if that fourth season will sadly be the show’s last.
