New Champions Crowned At TNA Slammiversary 2024
And new...
The company's highest-selling PPV in ten years, TNA Slammiversary is now in the books... and four championships have changed hands.
In Slammiversary's main event, Moose was dethroned in a six-man elimination match for the TNA World Title. With Moose himself eliminated second in that contest - by Joe Hendry, no less - it was Nic Nemeth who walked out of Slammiversary as the TNA World Champion, last eliminating Frankie Kazarian. As for Joe Hendry, Josh Alexander took out the Local Hero, hitting Hendry with a low blow and turning heel in the process.
Elsewhere, we now have new TNA Tag Team Champions, a new TNA X Division Champion, and a new Digital Media Champion. On the tag team front, the ABC duo of Ace Austin and Chris Bey defeated The System's Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards to embark on their third run as TNA Tag Team Champions. In a barnburner of a bout, 'Speedball' Mike Bailey beat Mustafa Ali to become the new X Division Champion, and the French Canadian Frankenstein PCO got the better of AJ Francis to win the Digital Media Title.
For the rest of the Slammiversary card, Jordynne Grace retained the TNA Knockouts Title against Ash by Elegance, Mike Santana defeated Jake Something, Matt Hardy defeated JDC, and The Rascalz trio of Wes Lee, Zachary Wentz, and Trey Miguel beat NXT's No Quarter Catch Crew's Charlie Dempsey, Myles Borne, and Tavion Heights.
