The NXT Women's and Tag Team Championships both changed hands on last night's TakeOver: Stand & Deliver special.

Stand & Deliver's first title changed saw MSK become Tag Team Champions, taking the vacant belts in a Triple Threat against Grizzled Young Veterans and Legado Del Fantasma. A ripping, all-action tag clash typical of Wes Lee and Nash Carter finished with Lee pinning GYV's Zack Gibson after a flashy double-team Brainbuster, completing MSK's fast rise to NXT prominence.

MSK have only been under WWE contract since December 2020. February 2021 saw them defeat GYV to win this year's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, and now they're at the top of the pile.

The previous champions, Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan, were forced to vacate the straps following Burch's separated shoulder last month.

Then, in the main event, Raquel Gonzalez ended Io Shirai's acclaimed 304-day reign as NXT Women's Champion, pinning the Japanese standout after absorbing all kinds of big bombs, including a cross body off the set.

Gonzalez kicked out of Shirai's signature Moonsault towards the end. She then broke Io with a Lariat before Powerbombing her for the victory, scoring the biggest win of her career.

Though nothing has been confirmed yet, Io is now being speculated for a potential main roster call up.

Night one's other title fight saw WALTER successfully defend his NXT UK Championship against Tommaso Ciampa in an incredible fight up there with either man's best WWE work.
