Dave Meltzer has some details on the situation in this week's edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, noting that while Gronk isn't currently scheduled to have a match at WrestleMania 36, current plans call for him to debut on the 20 March episode of SmackDown. Whether or not he'll appear at 'The Showcase of the Immortals' in a non-wrestling capacity is yet to be decided.

Per the writeup, Gronkowski will work "a couple of WWE matches" as part of his deal. SummerSlam 2020 could host one of his matches, as it is held in Boston, Massachusetts, where the former New England Patriot played for his entire NFL career.

Also noted is Gronk's old insistence that he'd never work a full-time wrestling schedule due to his history with concussions and other injuries, though he has always been open to the idea of working at least one bout for WWE.
