New Details On Sonya Deville's Attempted Armed Kidnapping
Deville says Mandy Rose was in her home when the incident went down.
Mandy Rose was in WWE star Sonya Deville's Lutz, Florida home when Phillip A. Thomas II entered the building and attempted an armed kidnapping on Sunday.
Citing Sonya's filed temporary injunction against Thomas, who was issued with multiple charges after being taken into custody on Sunday, the Tampa Bay Times write that Deville first became aware of Thomas' presence when he opened a sliding door, triggering her alarm system.
The wrestler saw the perpetrator through a window. "What are you doing, what do you want?", Deville yelled at him from just four feet away, with Sonya stating this was the moment she realised Thomas wasn't just there to rob her, but to hurt her.
Thomas was holding a knife and pepper spray at the time, so Deville rushed to the guest room where Rose was sleeping, grabbed her car keys, and escaped, calling 911. Law enforcers arrived a few minutes later and took Thomas into custody. He admitted there and then that he was there to do harm, with Deville crediting the perpetrator mistakenly thinking she'd ran upstairs for giving her enough time to flee.
Deville's temporary injunction was filed to ensure Thomas isn't released on bail. A hearing to make it permanent will go down later this week.
