New Match Announced For Night 2 Of WWE's WrestleMania 38
WWE officially confirmed this suspected match for WrestleMania on Friday's SmackDown.
WWE has finally made Sami Zayn vs. Johnny Knoxville official for WrestleMania 38.
The match will happen on night two of 'Mania (or "WrestleMania Sunday"), and follows up on what happened during Friday's edition of SmackDown. There, Knoxville distracted Zayn and cost him the Intercontinental Title - as previously reported, Ricochet is the new champ.
Sami will be out for revenge in Texas next month.
There was a sense of inevitability about the wrestler vs. celebrity bout. Zayn and Knoxville have been feuding for months now, and the Jackass star even bagged a cameo berth in January's Royal Rumble to continue it. After that, Sami showed up at the Jackass Forever premiere in early-February.
Now, they'll lock horns on WWE's grandest stage. Nobody will be shocked if Zayn makes the best of this, carries JK to a passable comedy bout and then slips on the proverbial banana peel. It's all-but-guaranteed that Knoxville is coming out of this one with the 'W', people.
Some will hate that, but Sami is good enough in the delusional heel role to make it work and regain his heat post-show.
