New Report On Becky Lynch's Role In A Marvel Movie
The Man was all set to come around to the MCU...
Becky Lynch came very close to making her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut during a 2021 feature.
It was reported in May 2020 by Kris Tapley of Netflix's The Call Sheet that the WWE sensation was filming for a role in an upcoming MCU entry, though no further information was added at that time.
Now though, a recent update from Fightful Select has shed further light on Lynch's Marvel adventure.
As it goes, the former Raw and SmackDown Women's Champion was all set to pop up in the post-credit scene of Chloé Zhao's Eternals epic, but her character didn't end up making the final cut.
It was noted that the scene would've been a way of setting up something for another feature down the road, though it again wasn't revealed precisely what the role was. There is still said to be a possibility that Marvel will use Lynch in an upcoming project, however, with the studio reportedly being happy with her work in the scene.
Said sequence was also apparently “too depressing", yet what it actually entailed wasn't made clear.
Lynch made quite the impression recently during her turn as Cyndi Lauper in NBC's Young Rock, and it appears The Man isn't finished with the world of acting by any means.
