Last night's WWE Raw brought news that The Undertaker and AJ Styles' WrestleMania 36 bout has become a Boneyard Match, with 'The Phenomenal One' stating he wanted to defeat his opponent in 'The Deadman's' kind of bout.

Neither Styles nor WWE has clarified what, exactly, a Boneyard Match is supposed to be, though AJ announcing that he'd already picked a plot to bury 'Taker has led to talk of a variation on the old Buried Alive stipulation.

Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez joined the wider wrestling world in talking about the gimmick on today's episode of Wrestling Observer Radio. They confirmed during the conversation that the bout will be taped on a closed set, which makes sense, but also add that WWE could choose to hold the scrap in some kind of graveyard setting, despite what's currently going on around the world.

A graveyard would make for a fitting location in kayfabe terms, as it fits 'Taker's character to a tee. Still, one would hope the promotion would err on the side of sensitivity here.

Taping for WrestleMania 36 starts tomorrow, so it may not be long before we learn more about the stipulation.
