Two new stars were officially added to the upcoming Money in the Bank ladder matches on the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX.

Former Intercontinental Champion Big E was able to get the better of current IC title holder Apollo Crews in a qualifier on last night's show, though the pair's showdown was under a non-title stipulation. Despite not coming away with his old title, the New Day man will now join John Morrison, Riddle, and Ricochet in the men's Money in the Bank ladder match at the July 18 event.

Elsewhere, Carmella was announced as the latest entry to the women's version of said titular multi-person bout, though the former Ms. MITB wasn't forced to compete in a qualifier beforehand. A clearly irked Liv Morgan, fresh off of beating the former SmackDown Women's Champion last week, claimed that she was more deserving of the spot in response to this. Then, after being told to prove her worthiness by defeating Carmella again, Morgan did exactly that. But it wasn't officially confirmed that she had been added to the contest.

Carmella (and you assume Morgan) joins Asuka, Naomi, Alexa Bliss, and Nikki Cross in the women's MITB bout.

Next week will also see another MITB qualifier match in the form of Kevin Owens taking on Sami Zayn in a Last Man Standing match, as revealed by Adam Pearce during last night's episode.
