WWE has filed an interesting new trademark application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

The promotion filed for 'Final Testament' on 8 January, using attorney Lauren A. Dienes-Middlen. WWE is seeking the mark for the following purposes:

Wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and sports entertainment via an online community portal

The application's status is currently marked as live and awaiting examination.

Speculation points towards 'Final Testament' being related to Karrion Kross and Scarlett's new stable on SmackDown. Weeks of build finally culminated in AOP's return to WWE on last Friday's SD, as Akam, Rezar, and manager Paul Ellerring aligned with Kross and Scarlett, attacking Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits.

AOP had not appeared on WWE television for close to four years before last Friday, with March 2020 marking their last appearance. It has since been reported that they'd been back under contract for over a year prior to their SmackDown comeback.
