New WWE United States Championship Unveiled On Raw
Apollo Crews' belt just got an updated design...
A new WWE United States Championship belt was unveiled during last night's episode of Raw, following on from WrestleVotes' report that the promotion would reveal the "clean, yet prestigious" design on the show after months of planning.
This went down in a segment that saw Bobby Lashley declare MVP the new United States Champion after the veteran defeated title-holder Apollo Crews in a non-title bout last week. A drumroll followed before MVP pulled the cloth hiding the new belt away as the ceremony continued, before Cedric Alexander and Ricochet interrupted, setting up a tag match between the two parties.
WWE.com has supposedly uploaded a gallery showcasing the new belt but the link was broken at the time of writing, redirecting to the "WWE Shows" page instead. Good. Here's the link just in case.

The United States Championship is one of the most decorated in North American wrestling history, with a lineage dating all the way back to 1975, when Harley Race became the first champion. It has been a WWE midcard fixture since the company brought it back from a two-year hiatus in 2003.
As confirmed last night, Crews will defend the strap against MVP at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules on 19 July.
