Nick Aldis Shoots On WWE & “Ignorant” Bruce Prichard
"Your ignorant comments about me had me at an all-time low..."
NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis has responded to WWE Executive Director Bruce Prichard's comments on the 'National Treasure's' perceived lack of star power.
Prichard had previously used his Something to Wrestle podcast as a platform to critique Aldis and NWA Powerrr, claiming the Englishman doesn't have the "it factor" required to be a major wrestling star, drawing Nick's response on Twitter. Here's what the 33-year-old had to say:-
Said Busted Open Radio interview should be interesting, particularly if the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion extrapolates on his Prichard comments.
Aldis' digs at RAW's ratings are fair game. Though Prichard isn't solely culpable, the show's numbers have continued since aside since he assumed sole creative lead in the wake of Paul Heyman's removal from power, with last week's Big Show vs. Randy Orton main event drawing the worst 18-49 quarter-hour number in history. This came on the back of several new lows for WWE's former flagship, with the 13 July episode drawing an all-time low viewership of 1.56 million.
External factors like the global health crisis are in play here, of course, though it'll be interesting to see how these numbers trend with live sports returning this week and next.
