This is per a new report from WrestleVotes, who stated, on Thursday, that "significant discussions" regarding a Nikki comeback have been discussed - and WWE sources expect it to happen.

"We’re told significant discussions have taken place regarding a Nikki Bella return to action, with the strong expectation from multiple WWE sources that it will happen sooner rather than later."

Nikki was briefly shown on camera during Raw's Netflix premiere on 6 January, sitting ringside. This was her first concrete involvement with WWE since she and sister Brie formally departed the market-leading wrestling promotion in 2023.

Royal Rumble 2022 hosted Nikki's last wrestling match, where she competed in the titular women's bout. You have to go back to 10 November 2018 for her last singles match, a house show defeat to then-Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey.

In March 2023, Nikki and Brie announced that they and WWE had mutually agreed to part ways. The duo stated that'd be going by the Garcia Twins going forward, as Garcia was their maiden name, though neither has wrestled outside of WWE. Brie was ringside for husband Bryan Danielson's AEW World Title win at last year's All In: London event, however.

Nikki has a history of neck injuries, having gone under the knife in 2015. Although she was cleared to compete again by July 2016, she had to abandon her Rack Attack finisher as a consequence of the issues.

WWE Royal Rumble 2025 - traditionally a surprise-strewn event tailor-made for veteran returns - takes place next Saturday, 1 February.
