Japanese wrestling Christmas is almost upon us, as NJPW this morning announced the list of participants for the upcoming 29th edition of the G1 Climax tournament.

At last week's Dominion, WWE emigrés Jon Moxley and KENTA both declared for the G1, as well as former Dragon Gate star Shingo Takagi. All three have been granted a place, as has Ring Of Honor's Jeff Cobb.

The brackets are filled out by the cream of New Japan's crop, including Tetsuya Naito, IWGP Champion Kazuchika Okada, Kota Ibushi, and Hiroshi Tanahashi. We hope the latter, increasingly beset by injury, doesn't put his body through total torture during the tournament. Inevitably, he will.

Best of the Super Juniors winner Will Ospreay is also in the event, as is fellow Englishman Zack Sabre Jr. and recently deposed IWGP United States champion Juice Robinson.
