NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 10 - Everything You Need To Know

4. Hirooki Goto Vs. Tetsuya Naito

One year ago, Tetsuya Naito was floundering as a upper midcard babyface who had lost the crowd. He was going nowhere and not in any sort of rush to get there. Something changed in the summer of 2015 however, as Naito stayed in North America following the ROH/NJPW tour. Naito eventually returned to Japan, representing the Los Ingobernables (The Ungovernables) stable from CMLL in Mexico. Gone was all the flash and circumstance, replaced by an impossible to ignore attitude that made it seem like Naito would rather be anywhere in the world. Los Ingobernables would grow in number with the addition of BUSHI and EVIL, and Naito and EVIL made it to the finals of the World Tag League. Along the way, Naito raised the ire of one Katsuyori Shibata, and the anger Shibata displayed towards Naito was figuratively jumping out of the screen. Naito and Shibata would do battle, before Naito would move on to battles against Shibata's childhood friend, Hirooki Goto. Goto had an impressive 2015 himself, winning the IWGP Intercontinental Title and defeating Shinsuka Nakaura on a couple of occasions before dropping the strap back to Nak at Destruction in Kobe. With EVIL and BUSHI surely joining Naito at ringside here it is difficult to envisage something other than a win for the leader of Los Ingobernables.
