Non-Tournament Trios Match Announced For AEW All Out 2022
Wardlow, FTR will do battle with Jay Lethal's crew at next month's PPV.
AEW might be in the middle of an eight-team tournament to crown its first Trios Tag Team Champions, but that doesn't mean that every gathering of six men in a match is part of the brackets.
The remnants of the Pinnacle - Wardlow and FTR - will challenge Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh in a trios match at All Out on 4 September.
The match came about when Wardlow defended his TNT Championship against Jay Lethal at Battle of the Belts III. Immediately after the match, Dutt and Singh attacked Mr. Mayhem, laying him out when Satnam chokeslammed him through a table.
On Dynamite last week, Lethal and company were gloating when Wardlow came out to confront them, but then revealed he had backup in the form of Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler. Fast-forward to Wednesday night, and the trios match for the upcoming PPV was academic.

Seeing Wardlow and FTR reunited is some nice continuity, as Dax & Cash stood by Wardlow when MJF cast him out earlier this year.
But before that trios bout, Harwood and Lethal will go one-on-one on Dynamite next week, continuing Dax the Ax's incredible singles run in 2022 despite being part of the most decorated tag team of the year.
