NXT will be part of WWE's Raw Vs SmackDown Survivor Series for the first time.

The news was announced during Crown Jewel via adverts for the event that featured stars from the black-and-gold brand as well as all the usuals from the two major shows.

It hadn't been made clear if WWE were intending on even running the brand warfare angle this year following SmackDown's move to Fox and the earnest effort from the company to keep the rosters split. The news seemed to confirm WWE's continued push to remind audiences that NXT is no longer a developmental brand since its own move to television on Wednesday Nights.

No matches have been announced for the supershow yet, but WWE have positioned all the Champions against one another on the event since making the event about "brand supremacy" in 2016. On that basis, the current card would include such wild combinations as Brock Lesnar Vs Bray Wyatt Vs Adam Cole, Becky Lynch Vs Bayley Vs Shayna Baszler and The Viking Raiders Vs The Revival Vs The Undisputed Era. The idea breaks down in consideration of the elimination matches, but WWE are likely to confirm and co-promote either way on upcoming editions of the weekly shows.
