Result: McIntyre kills Roode with the Claymore to win the title (22:25).

Rating: Though this wasn't a classic NXT main event by any means and had a pretty simple layout, it delivered the basic goods and then some, with a number of memorably rough spots (such as the Tilt-a-Whirl on the apron), and some insanely close kick-outs in the final stretch (especially the Glorious DDT).

It definitely could've had a few minutes shaved off as it felt a little padded and slow in the middle, but in terms of prepping Roode for his imminent main roster call-up and finally giving McIntyre the due he deserved years ago, this was totally effective. The real story, of course, was Adam Cole's surprise appearance. 7/10
