2. Tag Titles Ladder Match: The Authors Of Pain (c) Vs. #DIY
Result: The Authors hit the Super Collider before grabbing their titles (20:00).
Rating: At this point, the Authors have proven themselves to be so much more than the generic CAWs they resemble on appearances alone, putting on another strong showing against Gargano and Ciampa that reinforced their utter dominance.
The match had a classic David vs. Goliath through-line that played out supremely well, with Gargano getting some terrific opportunities to sell like a madman and basically put the Authors over better than they ever have, while #DIY's sheer desperation to win made for some great emotional storytelling.
The bigger story, of course, is Ciampa's post-match heel turn, a fantastically-executed moment that sets up one Hell of an angle moving forward. 8/10
