Gargano and Ciampa steal the show (duh).

NXT TakeOver: Chicago II is proof perfect of the fact that even when NXT doesn't serve up an absolute home-run of a show packed with four-star bangers, the quality of the wrestling across-the-board is still shockingly consistent, especially in comparison to WWE's main roster events.

Aside from the spectacular final match, this was a good-to-great show for the most part, hampered somewhat by the overwhelming predictability of practically every single result. Ultimately, however, satisfying storytelling and electric in-ring action trumps shock value for the mere sake of it (take note, WWE).

Fans will obviously be talking about and dissecting that Johnny Gargano-Tommaso Ciampa main event for months to come, though the rest of the card also ensured that Chicago II was a worthwhile sit, with most of the featured talents bolstering their skills in front of a crowd that couldn't have been more into it.

Again, not quite a classic NXT show, but still unlikely to be bested by what Money in the Bank serves up...
