The final WWE Vengeance pay-per-view happened in 2011.

Earlier that same year, a tearful Edge announced his retirement from the ring. It wasn't something he wanted to do, and the shock announcement was a depressing moment for fans too, but the man's health was paramount. A decade on, things have changed again. This time, they've changed for the better.

Edge is back, and he'll challenge for a 'World Title' at WrestleMania 37. What does that mean for this weekend's NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day special though? As it turns out, a hell of a lot. No, Edge won't challenge for the NXT Title at 'Mania, but he could give the brand some star rub on the last TakeOver before it.

Elsewhere, WWE has to decide who will win the latest Dusty Rhodes Classic. Or, more accurately, Classics - there's a trophy to hand out for the winning women too. Tag-Team Title shots are up for grabs, and it's important that the right squads get them.

Here's everything that must happen on Sunday night. It's Valentine's Day, and (much like everyone's other half) it deserves a good card...

10. WWE Adds Another Match

...which is why WWE might want to think about adding another match on.

Yes, this writer is usually guilty of whining when companies do this, but there are some sleeper hits in waiting for TakeOver. They might also help the card out for those who don't give a hoot about the Dusty Classic and need a bit more week-to-week storytelling.

Either Karrion Kross vs. Santos Escobar or Austin Theory vs. Dexter Lumis would work as a 10-minute add on to Vengeance Day. If it's the former, then WWE should probably steer clear of putting Escobar's Cruiserweight Title anywhere near it; Mr. Kross doesn't exactly qualify for that division.

Being honest, both bouts sound more like the kind of thing one would see on Wednesday night telly. Still, TakeOver's card does feel a tad thin on the ground right now (mainly due to the Dusty stuff), but it's also true that Kross and Escobar would have a fun match.
