NXT UK Prelude Announced For WWE WrestleMania 37 Week
WALTER vs. Rampage Brown will headline NXT UK's portion of WrestleMania week.
A special edition of NXT UK, entitled NXT UK Prelude, has been added to WWE's already-packed WrestleMania 37 week. This goes down on Thursday, April 8, the same day as NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver's second part and was announced during yesterday's NXT UK show.
Already announced for the special episode is Tyler Bate vs. Noam Dar in a Heritage Cup Rules Match to decide the next challenger for A-Kid's championship, as was confirmed by NXT UK general manager Johnny Saint, while Rampage Brown steps up to challenge WALTER for the NXT UK Championship. Both matches were confirmed on last night's NXT UK episode.
Presumably, this will go down from an empty BT Studios in London, as has been the case for all NXT UK episodes since its return this past September. As well as being available to the rest of the world via the WWE Network, NXT UK Prelude will also be accessible on Peacock in the United States
While not officially a TakeOver event itself, this should be an episode of similar magnitutde. NXT UK hasn't produced a TakeOver event since TakeOver: Blackpool II in January 2020 due to the ongoing global health crisis.
