Penelope Ford will replace Nyla Rose on this week's episode of AEW Dynamite, stepping in to face Leyla Hirsch in 'The Native Beast's' absence.

Rose confirmed that she had to pull out of the show and enter a 14-day period of self-isolation over the weekend. Why? Because she had come into contact with "an immediate family member" who has tested positive for COVID-19:-

This will be Ford's first match of 2021, having last appeared on the 30 December 'A Celebration of Mr. Brodie Lee's Life' episode of Dynamite, teaming with Britt Baker in a losing effort against Anna Jay and Tay Conti. 'The Superbad Girl' has been used only sparingly since dropping an AEW Women's World Title match with Hikaru Shida back in July.

Rose, meanwhile, is currently ranked third in the women's division, having opened her 2021 win/loss account with a squash victory over Alex Gracia on the 5 January episode of Dark. She and manager Vickie Guerrero had aligned themselves with Jade Cargill in the newcomer's feud with Brandi Rhodes prior to Rhodes' pregnancy announcement.

All the best to Nyla as she embarks upon quarantine.
