One MIND-BLOWING Secret From Every Year Of WWE History

20. 2005 - The Triple H Burial You DON’T Know About

Triple H burying wrestlers is no secret. He did it for fun.

He made people look like sh*t. The man who was positioned below the Rock and Steve Austin said Bryan Danielson was a “B+ player”. He made Goldberg matches drag in order to prove that he couldn’t work (if that’s too cynical, the alternative is that Triple H was responsible for those dull matches by being a boring wrestler). Goldberg was WCW; he had to learn a lesson. Same with Sting. Same with Booker T. It took Triple H 23 full seconds to cover Book for the pin at WrestleMania XIX. Now, statistically, that didn’t account for much of the duration - as a Triple H match at WrestleMania, it went four hours - but it was still a conscious attempt to make his opponent look terrible.

Triple H also enjoyed - because he’s amongst the most self-conscious men to have ever lived - destroying tag teams by himself.

You may not know about his most callous burial, however; at the ‘05 Mr. Olympia event, he was asked why Johnny Swinger - a Heat regular under the ‘Johnny Parisi’ gimmick at the time - wasn’t getting a push.

His response?

“I don’t know who that is.”
