This week's AEW Dynamite main event was an eight-man tag pitting The Dark Order's Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, Colt Cabana, and John Silver against Adam Cole, The Young Bucks, and Kenny Omega of The Elite, though it was far from the kind of multi-man fans have come to expect from the promotion.

The wrestlers decided to deck themselves out in different costumes. For the Order, that meant Silver as a donkey, Uno as a cowboy, Cabana as Brandon Cutler, and Grayson as God of War's Kratos. The Elite, meanwhile, were Ghostbusters, which turned out to be critical to the finish, as Hangman Page pulled off a Stay Puft marshmallow man outfit to clobber The Elite and give his allies the victory.

AEW originally had something else in mind for The Elite and their costumes. Per Fightful Select, the quartet originally planned on wearing costumes inspired by Squid Game, the hot new Netflix series, though TNT or WarnerMedia officials ended up scrapping this.

One of Fightful's sources noted that they didn't know if the network was aware of the extent of the intended parody. Despite this, there was no heat between the two sides.

AEW and The Elite ended up flipping to Ghostbusters as a "late call." Mikey Rukus, the promotion's in-house music producer, has explained how it took him less than two hours to come up with the entrance theme:-
