Paige Responds To Being CUT From SmackDown (WWE News)

WWE apparently didn't have time for Paige's feud with Nikki Bella on this week's SmackDown.

Paige and Nikki Bella openly discussed the former's promo segment being cut from this week's episode of SmackDown on social media.

Initially, WWE had hyped up Paige's rebuttal to Nikki during previews for Friday's episode, but it came and went without anything from the Brit about The Bella Twins turning on her at SummerSlam. Taking to X, Paige simply said "lol". That's when Nikki popped up to add: "What was that @Saraya??? I think I missed what you said".

Firing back, Paige replied: "You’d think you’d want women to have segments instead of being cut. You’ve always been full of s***. It’s alright, I’ll just see ya in person next week bb".

Obviously, there's some worked shoot stuff going on here between the pair, but it appears that Paige's pre-taped promo was indeed trimmed from the format sheets at some point on Friday evening. The bizarre thing here is that it amounted to an 80 second clip of her vowing revenge on The Bellas (specifically Nikki) for what happened in Minnesota earlier this month.

That was it. This wasn't some 10-15 minute in-ring skit that went too long. Somehow, despite trimming Paige's skit from the schedule, WWE still had to cut away from Cody Rhodes attacking Randy Orton on the announce desk right at the end of SmackDown. That's becoming a bit of a nasty habit for a company that's typically so on the ball with timings and production.

WWE posted Paige's clip on socials and YouTube, but she wasn't on the core SmackDown broadcast.
