In some hugely disappointing news for US-based WWE Network users, two key features are being tweaked or outright removed from the on-demand WWE service once it formally moves to the Peacock platform on 18 March.

Earlier this week brought word that the full WWE content library will not be available on Peacock until August, and now there’s an update that the match marker and search features are also being altered.

As per The Verge, the match marker facility – which breaks up PPVs and shows on a match-by-match or segment-by-segment basis – is being completely removed. Instead, users will be faced with simply one long stream when looking to view such programming. Peacock is working on “visual scrub bar previews” to serve as an indicator when fast-forwarding through a show, but that’s a feature that won't be implemented by the time of this month's launch.

Elsewhere, the WWE Network search function is being changed for US users once the Peacock launch happens. There will still be a search feature, but it won't be as detailed as the current search options – as in, users will no longer be able to search for individual wrestlers or matches.

Despite these changes, Peacock has reiterated how they are working at ways to best satisfy WWE Network users.
