With WWE having announced that Braun Strowman is kayfabe suspended indefinitely, now comes on update on what’s currently going on with the Monster Amongst Men.

If you remember, this past Monday night saw Strowman headbutt WWE producer Adam Pearce and subsequently get suspended. According to Dave Meltzer over at the Wrestling Observer, the reason for this is because Braun may have suffered a knee injury at last weekend’s Survivor Series PPV.

It was previously believed that Strowman would be the one challenging WWE Champion Drew McIntyre at next months’ TLC PPV, but those plans have now changed due to Braun’s potential injury.

From Melter, it was a last-minute idea to do a mini tournament to determine the next challenger for McIntyre’s title, with that call being made on the fly once the prospect of a Braun Strowman injury came to light in the aftermath of Survivor Series.

If possible, WWE still wants to have McIntyre vs. Strowman at TLC, although a back-up plan is already in place should Braun not be medically cleared for action by then. That back-up plan would seemingly be for the winner of next week’s AJ Styles vs. Keith Lee vs. Riddle contest to go on and face the Scottish Psychopath at the 20 December TLC event.

Of course, the Braun suspension angle could all just be a way to build more heel heat for the former Universal Champion ahead of the inevitable McIntyre match - be that at TLC or further down the line.
