Shayna Baszler made waves in 2017, parlaying her extensive experience in Mixed Martial Arts as well impressive spells working for Stardom, Shimmer and Ring Of Honor into a show-stealing turn in WWE's Mae Young Classic.

Ultimately falling to Kairi Sane in the final, she took her revenge with a vicious beatdown on 'The Pirate Princess' on the final NXT telecast of the year. Following Sane into the Royal Rumble would continue their burgeoning rivalry and offer Baszler the chance to turn yet more heads.
