Predicting The Future Of Every Released WWE Wrestler

AEW, IMPACT, New Japan, NWA, ROH etc. What's in store for WWE's recent releases?

WWE, to date, has released a mind-bending 71 wrestlers in 2021 alone.

That's a staggering amount, but fans are already wondering what the future holds for the latest batch of 18 released into the pro wrestling wild? After all, there's a wealth of talent on the recent list, and many of them are still in their in-ring primes.

It's impossible to think that they're finished just because Vince McMahon didn't see value in them anymore, or (as reports claimed) his company was more obsessed with "budget cuts" than anything else. This isn't the end of the road for these men and women, basically.

Promotions like AEW, IMPACT, New Japan, NWA and ROH await. So, mind you, do a whole litter of independent groups outside of that - today's market means it's totally possible for an ex-WWE star to make some decent cash on the indys before inking a contract and staying put in one place.

So, where do the likes of Nia Jax, Keith Lee, Karrion Kross, Scarlett and Ember Moon land? They've got choices, but predicting what they'll choose is already exciting...

16. Zayda Ramier

Promotion: Reality Of Wrestling/Independents

Why There: Returning to Booker T's indy talent farm could be cathartic for Ramier. She barely had one foot in the door at WWE (they only signed her in March) before being released, so she'll perhaps be feeling a bit undervalued right now.

Book, her trainer and mentor, will be able to press the mental reset button for Zayda and put things into perspective. That's important right now - there's always a chance she'll get another shot in WWE later, or maybe she'll catch the eye of AEW long-term.

Right now, regrouping under the learning tree of a true wrestling legend could be wise.
