Predicting The Next 10 WWE Universal Champions

Who's next... ? Don't worry: it's not Goldberg.

Rumors and speculation around the Universal Championship have been a hot topic ever since Brock Lesnar won the red-strapped title from Goldberg at WrestleMania 33. Almost immediately, word got out that the plan was for Lesnar to hold the belt until the next 'Mania so that Roman Reigns could triumphantly capture the championship in a huge New Orleans rematch. Based on how things look right now, that seems incredibly likely.

While this result was telegraphed from a mile away, what's not as easy to predict is what'll happen with the Universal Championship after Reigns captures the belt. Monday Night Raw is full of viable contenders to the world title, including Seth Rollins, Finn Bálor, Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman, and of course, the omnipresent John Cena. With all of these options, there are plenty of directions that WWE has the ability to take heading into the summer of 2018.

Let's just hope WWE actually takes advantage of their main event roster...

10. Roman Reigns

Well, yeah. It's definitely happening.

WWE have carefully crafted the last year around the idea that Roman Reigns would be recapturing the Universal Championships from Brock Lesnar. Braun Strowman may have seemed like a big player this year, but his push was almost entirely devoted to making both Lesnar and Reigns look strong. Think about it: Braun Strowman is a completely unstoppable monster with a destructive path that knows no end... except for two cases. It's no coincidence that the two men fighting for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania also happen to be the only two men who seem to have Strowman's number.

Whether or not the fans can find it in their hearts to get behind another Roman Reigns world title push, it's what they're going to get.
