Predicting The Next 10 WWE Universal Champions
9. Finn Bálor
Roman's reign won't be as short as his infamous 5:15 WWE Championship reign (thanks Sheamus) but it won't exactly set the company on fire. Reigns will successfully defend the title at Backlash and Money in the Bank against John Cena, who is starting to get desperate to break that world title record at this point. Instead of defending the championship at Extreme Rules, the PPV is main evented with a No. 1 Contendership Fatal 4-Way match for Roman's Universal title. Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins, John Cena, and Finn Bálor all fight not only for the main event spot, but the ability to choose the stipulation of their choice. Braun dominates, Seth impresses, John comes close, but Finn Bálor prevails, setting up SummerSlam's No DQ main event.
Come 19 August 2018, Bálor makes his way out to the ring. Surprisingly, however, there's no face or body paint to be seen. The commentators make sure to mention this throughout the 20 minute match a few times, noticeably confused as to it's absence. Once the lights go out, however, it all starts to make sense.
The lights come back up and we see Gallows & Anderson beating the hell out of Roman Reigns, setting his body prone in the middle of the ring, and allowing Finn Bálor to go for the Coup de Grace. Bálor Club is officially here, and they have the Universal Championship.
