The stars of the U.K.'s PROGRESS Wrestling - including Will Ospreay, Zack Sabre Jr., and Marty Scurll - have become increasingly popular worldwide over the past year, but the company itself will take a major step toward global recognition with its first-ever shows in the U.S.

They will be held in Orlando over WrestleMania 33 weekend, in conjunction with the WWNLive family of promotions.

The news broke on Thursday as part of an alert to email subscribers to the World Wrestling Network. The schedule for the weekend promises to be packed, with EVOLVE, SHIMMER, Chikara, and more holding shows at the Orlando Downtown Recreational Complex. PROGRESS will first run a solo show there at noon on March 31, 2017, then join the stars of EVOLVE for the annual WWN Mercury Rising Supershow the following evening at 8:00 PM. That event will have a special "PROGRESS vs. EVOLVE" theme.

The decision to include PROGRESS in the WrestleMania weekend lineup is a smart one. Not only have the group's stars made a huge impact in the U.S. as of late (Scurll is a regular for EVOLVE, Ospreay is turning heads worldwide with his work in New Japan, and Sabre, Jack Gallagher, and Noam Dar are all competing in WWE's Cruiserweight Classic), but traditionally, many U.K. fans make the annual trip to WWE's grandest show.

While no stars have been announced by PROGRESS yet, the events should easily draw huge crowds.
