8. WrestleMania II: Savage Vs. George "The Animal" Steele
Savage's WrestleMania debut came during the New York portion of WrestleMania 2 against George "The Animal" Steele. While not one of Savage's most memorable outings, mostly due to the limitations of his opponent, Savage was able to deliver a highly entertaining grudge match, all built around the premise that The Animal had fallen in love with Miss Elizabeth and was trying to steal her away from the abusive Macho Man. During the match, The Animal became the first person to kick out of Savage's iconic Flying Elbow finisher, but it wasn't long before Savage rolled up the green-tongued Steele to successfully defend his Intercontinental Championship and get his first WrestleMania win. It wouldn't be the last time The Animal and The Macho Man would collide on the 'Mania stage, however.
