6. Edge & Christian vs. The Hardy Boyz vs. The Dudley Boyz (WrestleMania X-Seven)
As we venture into the top 6, it gets a little bit more difficult to separate the various matches from the pack. To some, TLC 2 was the greatest of them all. To others, it was a Jeff Hardy tight rope act away from being one of the greatest matches of all-time, period. The Triangle Ladder match that unofficially birthed the TLC concept was over 20-minutes and had some downtime, whereas the first and second official versions were shorter and non-stop action. History remembers Edge giving Jeff a Spear, Jeff hanging on the hook and Edge launching himself off a ladder. It does not as often recall that Hardy stumbled and fumbled what would have been a brilliant spot - a be all, end all for a stunt brawl. The original plan had been for Jeff to go from one ladder to another and then grab the hook. It didn't work. Alas, it was the missed spot that allowed the matches ahead to stand out above TLC 2. Take nothing away from these six guys, though, plus Lita, Rhyno, and Spike Dudley. It was a borderline masterpiece in many ways.
