Ranking The 16 Greatest WWE TLC Matches Ever

3. Edge & Christian vs. The Hardy Boyz vs. The Dudley Boyz (SummerSlam 2000)

Speaking of masterpieces... The official first TLC match at Summerslam 2000 was similar in its non-stop, spot exercise format as the Hardys vs. Edge and Christian at No Mercy 1999 - the Ladder match that had, essentially, laid the foundation for the tag team renaissance that TLC is well-known for pioneering during the Attitude Era. For less than a quarter hour, three teams intricately weaved a series of near death-defying stunts together, creating an outstanding aesthetic experience for viewers that can easily be argued has never been matched. Unlike its lengthier predecessor from Mania 2000, TLC 1 did not leave much time for such things as selling, so that has typically been the knock against it and why some have favored the unofficial original. Not to offer the literary version of the broken record, but it is - again - a matter of preference. Yet, if you favor the type of TLC that bombarded you with sights of incredibly high risks and life-altering bumps, then it would be difficult to argue against TLC 1 being the best of the lot.
