18. DX Vs. The McMahons And Big Show (Unforgiven 2006)
This is where the line in the sand can be drawn and the separation between the clearly worst versions of Hell in a Cell and the middle of the pack begins. DX vs. The McMahons was entertaining, simply put. The booking back then was clearly trying to find a balance between yesteryear and modern times, so if you could appreciate that for what it was, then you likely enjoyed watching the new DX in 2006. The matches carried that theme forward into in-ring competition. They certainly were not designed to blow the roof of an arena, but they accomplished what they intended to accomplish in the entertainment department. It brought something different to the table and opened up creatives happy-go-lucky side a bit. HBK and HHH were a legitimately funny duo even in a watered down environment. Adding Big Show to the mix made sense at the time. He had come on strong in the summer as the ECW World Champion and it was smart to use him as an agent of destruction. There have certainly been better Hell in a Cell matches, but those five guys offered up an enjoyable effort that stands up well against its peers outside of the top ten.
