6. Goldberg Versus The Undertaker - Super Showdown 2019

Yep, it’s that match.

When you talk about matches that were an absolute Dumpster fire, this one has to top anyone’s list. Goldberg versus Undertaker should have been a dream match, a modern-day clash of the titans.

Instead, it was an absolute nightmare, a joke of a match that was embarrassing for everyone involved and everyone who watched it. At 8:35, this is the longest match of Goldberg’s return, and that might be part of the problem, because it was held at Super Showdown 2019, where the in-ring temperature was reported at nearly 100 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s difficult to ask two men north of 50 to wrestle in those conditions for any length of time.

Worse, Goldberg gave himself a concussion early in the match when he hit the ring post too hard, drawing blood and leaving himself loopy for the rest of the bout. All of that led to a sloppy match that featured numerous botches.

How bad was this match? Both men basically rushed back out within two months and had new matches to wash the stain of this off, with WWE using it as fodder with Dolph Ziggler mocking Goldberg for having such an awful match.

Yeah, that’s a pretty damn terrible match.
