10. Two-Man Power Trip vs. The Undertaker (Insurrextion 2001)
The year before their 2002 battle at the event of the same name, The Undertaker and Triple H were joined by 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin. Fans dearly wanted to cheer for Austin, but he had turned heel at WrestleMania X-Seven, aligning himself with Vince McMahon. Defeating The Rock for the WWF Heavyweight Title, he put it on the line here in a Handicap Match. It's been said that Kane was originally scheduled for the match, but injury prevented him from making the journey to England. This forced the creative team to live up to their name. A big babyface win was wanted for the show's conclusion, so it was said that 'Taker could only win the belt by beating Austin. It was never likely to happen on a UK-only Pay-Per-View, but that didn't stop the rowdy crowd from believing. Aside from a corking encounter between Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle, not much had happened of any real note on the night. Chris Jericho had faced William Regal in a decent match, but the main event had to save the show. In the end, it felt disjointed, but all involved certainly did their best to create drama. The Undertaker did give the fans a popular victory, but he did so by pinning Triple H. Therefore, there was no title switch, but the match was enjoyable.
