Ever since his debut, Bill Goldberg has been one of the most polarizing figures in all of professional wrestling.

Starting in 1997, Goldberg went on a historic win streak that saw him run rough shot through the entire WCW roster. Following the demise of World Championship Wrestling and a brief run in the WWE, Goldberg left wrestling in 2004, seemingly never to be seen again.

That all changed in 2016, as Goldberg began teasing a return to wrestling across various media platforms. After trading insults with Paul Heyman and his client, Goldberg’s return was set for Survivor Series 2016 against Brock Lesnar. The match was par for the course for the former WCW Heavyweight Champion, as he defeated the nearly unstoppable Beast Incarnate in 86 seconds.

Since that night in November 2016, Goldberg's second stint in WWE has included two Universal Championship wins, and an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. All this while only wrestling 12 matches culminating this past Saturday against Roman Reigns in Saudi Arabia. If rumors are to be believed, this might have been the final bout of Goldberg's career as his deal is reportedly over. Some of his matches have been great, some just okay, and others have been some of the worst in WWE history.

Here they are, ranked...

12. Vs. Undertaker: Super Showdown 2019

When WWE purchased WCW in 2001, it created an endless list of possible dream matches at Vince McMahon's fingertips. One matchup surely close to the top of wishlists would have been Goldberg vs. The Undertaker. Unfortunately, this match would not take place until 18 years after the close of Ted Turner's company.

Since this was clearly long after both Goldberg and The Phenom's in-ring peak meant wrestling fans were not expecting much coming into Super Showdown 2019. However, even the most modest of expectations were not met as this was one of the worst matches in WWE history.

Goldberg was concussed early on, possibly even before the match as some reports suggested. This led to several botched moves including a brutal Jackhammer that could have seriously hurt The Deadman. Undertaker was not even able to execute a Tombstone Piledriver due to Goldberg’s condition and the finish had to be changed to a chokeslam.

It's a true shame that the one and only encounter between these two wrestling icons is also the worst match of Goldberg’s time in WWE.
