This match - like Austin's other one at the 1998 Survivor Series - doesn't stand up on its own, but earns partial credit for play its part in a trancendent angle.

Uneventful in the extreme until the Boss Man took an easy disqualification loss, this formed part of one of the biggest and most beautiful pictures WWE ever painted.
