Had his best ever night with WWE at the Royal Rumble, contradicting his detractors, the #14 curse and the notion that WWE won't (sometimes) push a foreign babyface. It was all undone by a d*ck-punching heel turn on AJ Styles after his WrestleMania title match. They never had the expected classic, and Nakamura - when he could make it on television - was a sneering anti-American heel by the summer.
