Alberto Del Rio is the third most decorated Superstar in this match behind John Cena and Randy Orton, but he is about the least likely person to win the Ladder match. Del Rio's booking just hasn't been very good in recent months. He has been off of a lot of PPVs and he hasn't had a real storyline in quite some time. It's no secret that Del Rio is nearing the age where he needs to start thinking about retirement, so it would not be surprising if WWE gave him one more run at the top, but now is not the right time. His last real program consisted of him being sacrificed to the returning Batista at Elimination Chamber and since then he has floated from random opponent to random opponent. He is capable of hitting some exciting moves, so he will definitely contribute to the ladder match in a positive way, but he is the long shot to win.
