Ranking The Importance Level Of Every Active WWE Championship Title
11. WWE Women's Tag Team Championship
We're barely four months into the creation of the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship and already they feel like pointless props.
In theory, it was an excellent idea to establish an additional title for the women of WWE to fight for in addition to the Raw and SmackDown Women's Championships, considering the depth of the division on both brands these days. There was plenty of hype and anticipation surrounding their debut at Elimination Chamber and then ... nothing.
All right, so the inaugural champs Sasha Banks and Bayley were well on their way to making the belts mean something (let's not forget they showed up in NXT that one time) before they dropped the straps prematurely at WrestleMania 35 to The IIconics. Banks hasn't been seen since, interestingly enough.
It's not that The IIconics weren't deserving of a title run, but it turned out to be the wrong call based off how they've been booked since. They defended their titles against a pair of enhancement talent on the SmackDown Live after WrestleMania and didn't win another televised match until the 10 June Raw.
Their latest title defense against Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross on this week's Raw was way too brief to be anything special. In other words, there is no reason to take them or the titles seriously at this point.
