The SummerSlam match was a disaster, and yet, it still took fans nearly a decade to grasp that WWE was never going to get the act right. But the debut went down well enough on RAW, and Wyatt's promo was probably examined by hordes of r/SquaredCircle posters.
A lot of people liked this at the time, but then, the same is true of Puddle of Mudd.
