5. Fatal 4-Way - 2010

WWE have experimented with lots of pay-per-view names for the post-WrestleMania lull that is June in the 2000s, having 10 uniquely-titled events between 2007 and 2014.

Fatal 4-way in 2010 was one of the short-lived and flawed concepts, with multi-person matches deciding the fates of the WWE, World Heavyweight and Divas Championships.

The best matches came outside of this format, which probably explains why we haven’t had a repeat pay-per-view. Chris Jericho gave Evan Bourne the rub in an undercard show stealer, and Kofi Kingston beat Drew McIntyre in a solid opener for the Intercontinental title.

The main event of John Cena defending against Edge, Randy Orton, and Sheamus was good, albeit pedestrian compared to the hard-hitting fatal 4-way from SummerSlam of this year. Thankfully interference from the recently-formed Nexus added drama to Sheamus’ victory.
